Although, now most long-term studies have been conducted on animals, the results seem promising and we can expect more and more long-term studies exploring health consequence of calorie restriction in humans to be conducted in the future.

Even though some doctors are starting to advise fasting as part of a multimodal intervention regime to tackle dementia with positive results, it is quite limited. Plus, no one should start any dietary regimen without first consulting their specialist.

Hopefully, in the future, we will learn more about the positive effects of eating less and less often.
